8 Tips to Gets Awesome Food Photo Using Smartphone 
( Make A Resto-look Food Pics In Your Home)

Hey guys,,as u know that i realy love to cook and eat food so i hv been tried to take food pics and learn everyday how to get a high quality pics. Usually i use my DSLR Canon Camera but nowadays i become so lazy to use such camera so i have other alternative to use smartphone camera instead. Not everyone get the camera but i think everyone already has their smartphone so why we don't utilize our phone to take the pic and get an outstanding result. If u wonder how to do or take shoot of food pic try my tips here :
First : Find Natural Light

Natural light is always best for taking pics but avoid direct sunlight because it will create shadow and high exposure that will mess the colour of food. Try to take food near window and get a soft light to take picture. I used to take pic on daylight and rarely take on night but if u want to take picture at night we also can use light from the light bulb and having artificial light also good just like put more light bulb but dont put it too close with the light. If u take food outside make sure we find perfect place or shade to avoid direct light. ( A secret from me i have golden hour to take food pics,, its from 8am to 2pm and 4-5pm just before sunset, It works but not on cloudy day haha) 


 Second : Using Flash is a big NO

Why we should turn of flash when we want to take food  pics? Sometime i used to use the flash to take food pics especially at night but i have learned that this method resulting harsh shadow also the reflected flash itself. It makes the pics look flat, washed out and not appetizing. So remeber this point.



Three : Choose The Plate wisely

If u like to take food pics maybe it will be worth if we spend some money to buy just some serving plate or other stuffs. You dont need to have many serving plates, just some plate will really work ( round white or black flat plate, deep bowl, small bowl, spoon and fork also knife ) Dont worry if you dont have it, you can find lowcost kithen props in market. ( nore : white colour plate or bowl will be best for almost food)



Four : Playing with Kitchen Props

If u have some colourful napkins, u can use it to add a glance in ur pics. Take some herbs or anything in ur fridge such as garlics, onion, cillantro, or other things that bring colours to your picture. Play with different style. Its my fav part in making food pics to have fun while mix n match the props and creating background ( To make my food looks from restaurant sometime i print out resto menu picture from internet and put it on table close to the food)



Five : Get Best Angle to Take Picture

Try to shoot many pictures from different angle because the light quality is different on every angle. Based on my experience, sometime if u want to get a “POP” colour look dont be afraid to stand up even in restaurant and be shameless with other people haha its totally worth it.



Six : Lock Your Focus and Hold Your Breath

If u want to get close up look on your food picture lock the focus on your smartphone camera or setting it on Macro focus. Hold ur breath when u want to shoot and press the shoot button gently. Make sure u dont shake ur hand when shooting the picture because it will reduce the quality of your pic. Sometime i place my hand on a water glass to reduce the shake while im taking picture.

Seven : Use Smartphone Editing Apps


Using Apps to pop up the colour and quality also can make your food picture look better or worst. My Fav app to edit my food photo is VSCOCAM, SNAPSEED and VIBRANTLY. U can try it too but don't rely on such editing tools because food can look great or disastrous it depends on our clicks. So try to get fabolous picture by applying these tips.

Healthy Snack : Vegetable Cheese Mini Pie

Vegetable Cheese Mini Pie

Loving to have an experiment of making something delightful and this pie is one of my experimental in cooking hihi usually we bake pie in oven or microwave but this time i made a simple one and just baked it on pan. People used to make fruit or meat pie but i love to have vegetable instead. The crispy skin of pie mixed with melted cheese and vegetable topping, thats really adding an unique flavour.. yumyyy.. so lets start to make it
Mom nessac@migme asking the result of my pie so this is the result and the recipe 


Ingredients :
Pie Skin
500 wheat flour (Low Protein)
5 egg yolks
3 tablespoon sugar powder

150ml melted butter/margarine



Vegetable Filling :

2 medium carrots 
2 medium potato
Grated sweet corn
1 medium onion
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon chicken stock powder
1 teaspoon pepper
100ml water
2 tablespoon condensed milk
100 gram grated mozarella or ceddar cheese
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon maizena flour

How to make Pie skin  : 

Mix 5 egg yolks with sugar powder and stir it with mixer for 3minutes until it mixed well



 Pour 150ml melted margarine or butter in the flour mix and stir it


Mix all together and knead the dough until u get non sticky dough then u can put it on the pie pan


 How to make Vegetable Filling :

Cut the onion, carrots and potatos in small cubic shape
Add 1 tablespoon cooking oil on pan then fry some onion on pan for 1 min
Put the carrot and ptato on pan then stir it
Add 100ml water and let the vegetable cooked for 10minutes and the water simmer
Add chicken stock powder, oyster sauce, pepper, and milk on the vegetable mix and stir it well




After it done, turn of the stove then place the vegetable filling on a bowl and add 1 egg yolk also maizena flour and cheese, stir it

Now ur pie filling ready to be placed on the pie pan
Fill every pie on pan with the vegetable mix and put them on a frying pan
Cover the pan with a lid and let i cook for 15min on low heat ( make sure its low heat because high heat will ruin the pie)



After several minutes take out the lid and here comes ur pie is ready to served
I love to add tomato sauce on the top also if u like some mayonaisse and chilli sauce also will do.

Asian Snack, Gyoza

Asian Favourite Dumpling, Gyoza

I love  to have snacks.. hmm i was thinking to make Gyoza or chicken potstick in china n maybe its same dish as Momo in Nepal and pangsit in Indonesia. I heard that momo is popular snack in Nepal as many of my friends in Migme reference me about this snack . So with many efforts n attemp haha its my first time making gyoza skin. Its easy but we need patient to make it haha but finally i did it and i made yummy dish. Gyoza is more likely a dumpling that stuffed with meat or vegetable. I make it with chicken and vegetable stuffed. So here comes the recipe :



Skin Ingredients
250 gr All purpose Wheat Flour
120ml Just Boiling water
1/2 teaspoon salt
Filling :
1 chicken breast, chopped it
1 spring onion
Cabbage leaf (u just need 2 chopped tablespoon cabbage)
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil or if its not available u can use cooking oil
1 teaspoon chicken stock powder
1/2 teaspoon sugar

How to make skin :
Mix the flour and salt then pour just boiling water slowly and knead the dough until its not sticky anymore on your hand for about 10min




 Wrap the dough with plastic and let it rest for 30min


 After 30 min cut the dough into 2cm each and put it in a container and cover it with damp napkin to keep it moist



Shape the dough into a ball and roll it with a roller pin then to make a perfect round skin u can use cookie cutter or glass lid
Dont forget to spread the flour when u roll the dough on the surface of the place that u use to roll and dont let the skin stick to other skin.




To make the gyoza filling just mix all the ingredients in a bowl


After u finish the skin, put 1 teaspoon of chicken filling inside the skin then fold it into gyoza shape



Add 1 teaspoon cooking oil on pan then spread it
Place the gyoza on pan then cook it without water for 1 minute
After a minute add 1 glass of water on pan and let the gyoza cook for about 10 min



Ur gyoza is done, u can eat it with any sauce u like

A Simple Snack : Cheese Potato Ball


Cheese Potato Ball

Hey Guys i have another simple snack recipe that u can try,,its cheesy and yummy.. Lets try to make it


Ingredients :
3 Medium Potato
100 gr grated ceddar cheese
2 garlics
2 shallots
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon chicken stock
2 eggs
1 celery
100 gr wheat flour
100 gr Bread Crumbs Flour
100 gr corned beef or u can skip it if its not available

How to make :
Cut every potato into 8 pieces and deep fry it in oil until it cook, drain it
After u fry the potato, Slice the garlics and shallow and fry it too in oil, drain it
Mash the potato until u got smooth potato dough
Grind the shallot and garlic then put it in mashed potato dough
Add cheese, chicken stock powder, pepper, and corned beef, stir and mix it well
Stir 1 egg in another bowl, then put in the potato dough, mix it
Take 1 tablespoon dough then roll it with hand into ball shape

Prepare the bread, and this is the step how u bread the potato ball :
Pour wheat flour egg, and bread crumbs in different bowl
Coat the ball in the wheat flour, roll it until all the surface covered by flour
Stir 1 egg in a bowl then put the potato ball, roll it so the ball coated by egg
After u put the potato ball in egg, now coat it with bread crumbs
Fry the balls in medium heat oil until it get golden brown colour
Ur Potato Balls is ready to served

HoMeMade Pizza Recipe

Guys.. i just tried my own pizza recipe n i have shred it on my favorite social media,, Migme,, so here i share the recipe...its easy to make n of course..Its Low cost...Check It


HOMEMADE PIZZA RECIPE

 Ingredients
Pizza Dough :
250 gr wheat flour
200 ml warm milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon yeast
3 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoon cooking oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
Topping :
100 gr ground chicken meat
2 medium beef sausage
100 gr ground beef
2 garlics, chop it
1 medium Onion, chop it
1 tomato, chop it
5 tablespoon tomato sauce
5 tablespoon chilli sauce
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon basil
1 tablespoon butter
A Pinch of sugar
Some grated Cheese
( If some ingredients are not available, u can skip it or u can subtitute it with other ingredients like Tuna fish, mushroom, ballpepper, etc)

 
How To make :
Mix the flour and yeast then add egg also butter and cooking oil, stir it

 
Add warm milk, salt and sugar until u got non sticky dough
Beat and press the dough with ur hand then let the dough rest for minimum 30 minutes


 
Close the dough container with napkin when the dough resting until the dough raising






Topping :
Put butter on pan then add garlic and onion
Add the chopped tomato, chicken, sausage and beef
Stir it well then add the tomato sauce and chilli sauce also pinch of sugar
Add oregano and basil before it done cooked.
Ur topping is ready


 
After the dough rising put it in a baking container and roll it into round or anyshape u want
Dont make it to thick,,make it bit thin
Pour the topping and spread all over the dough surface
Add some grated cheese and some cillantro if u like it


Bake the pizza in Oven for 20minutes or u can use a pan to bake it.
Just put the pizza dough in a frying pan and cover it with the lid



 After 20min ur pizza is ready to served.
